SAG-AFTRA members ratified the 2025 Interactive Media Agreement, ending the nearly yearlong video game strike, with consent and disclosure requirements for digital-replica use plus pay increases.The live disputes now involve people the agreement never covered — non-union writers like Saber's Stella Sacco, streamers auto-enrolled in Amazon's AI training, modded voices, and now sports broadcasters: in September 2026 a commentator said EA had used generative AI to produce commentator voiceover in NHL 27, a category of voice the interactive agreement never reached. Studios deny AI use, get caught, and disclose late.
